Sweet movement @patography!
Lovely image @wendyp. I can use a serene escape like that!
My town in CT will have 92% totality. Our local library handed out free glasses which I picked up. The highest ND filter I have is 10stop, so I photographed the one in 2017 using my husbands filter from a welder. I will try again on Monday. I will have my 5 month old grandson with me, (because his parents are headed to Burlington VT to view totality), and timing might put it behind my trees, so we’ll see!
Talk about making eye contact!! Wonderful capture, @patography! Excellent choice for POTW!

I love the focus and softness of the outer petals contrasting the clarity of the inner golden flower. The second one is so crisp yet soft, and I really like the white vignetting.

It grows in the wetlands, and smells like skunk if it gets bruised. I have only gotten a few whiffs of it over the years, most likely from when a fox or coyote are chasing prey all around it. As for real skunks, we have plenty of those, and are currently trying to keep them out from under our deck. LOL
Congratulations @paul-3 ! Such an amazing photographic capture. My heart skips a beat when I wonder what it must have been like looking through the lens at such a sight!

One day it’s snowing, and the next it’s 60 degrees and sunny. Not much sprouting here yet, but this morning I spotted the Symplocarpus foetidus, commonly known as skunk cabbage. It’s usually the first breathe of life on our property.
