Allows Edits? YesI almost kept the softness of original image. I have shot several other compositions, one better suited for a soft look. I will post that as well.
No, I didn’t add clarity but I did apply dehaze effect in lightroom.

Allows Edits? YesHi Rob, it’s been long time.
The problem is that’s the widest I could go at 185mm. Although, it didn’t feel that dark to naked eye but my camera showed that the scene is underexposed. I rely on inbuilt light meter.
I recently moved to Poland, but I didn’t bring my tripod with me.
Window was open.Well my hand is source of shake, of course
I tried with several different ISO’s ranging from 100 to 3200 and different shutter speeds but I thought 1600 would be a good compromise between noise and contrast.
I started shooting after a long break, I feel I might have gotten rusty.I post with a different crop.
Thanks!

Allows Edits? YesIt was raining and late in evening so not much light to work with. Actually I didn’t notice the blurriness till you brought it to my attention. That explains why I can’t see details on petals. Thanks!

Allows Edits? YesIt was rainy day hence the high ISO. I tried with lower ISO but the images were pretty dark. I think I lost a lot of light to achieve the shallow depth of field. I try more shots with wider aperture. Thanks for the feedback.

Allows Edits? YesI like that you provided an intro to the region which also serves as an explanation as to why the log is bent and not straight.

Allows Edits? YesThe light was really an issue in this place hence the 640 ISO. But I didn’t know noise would be so dominant at such low ISO.

Allows Edits? YesI thought both leaves pointed to the bird. Your crop works better.

Allows Edits? Yesagreed but I am stuck with it. If I crop the image too much, noise becomes noticeable. Here is another crop where I tried to use leaf and bird in a symmetric fashion. Seems fine to me, don’t know if it works for others as well.

Allows Edits? YesWhile we are sitting under our rooves, sunken in our own worldly affairs, we don’t even realise what is going on in the rest of the world. There is always a story which has this potential of making your problems feel trivial.
Thank you for bringing this story here.

Allows Edits? YesSo, I visited the Nikon Service Centre and the good people over there cleaned the lens with 100% pure alcohol.
It turns out there was no loss of coating or anything, just residue from sea water and whatever crap was in that lens pen. The lens looks like new.
Thanks everyone.
