Hi Dahlia!! Oh thank you so much!! We really had a much better time that we expected, but really the truth is living out here on Vancouver Island is a blessing that is difficult to put into words. We have so many different aspects of lifestyles, landscapes and creatures out here we find it’s difficult to stay focused at times. Thank you so very much @dahliaambrose!

Hi Frank!! Thanks so much for taking the time to comment, we really appreciate it. Those peaks are all on the west coast of Canada in BC. We were at the tip of Vancouver Island for this series of shots, and indeed from here it’s a relatively straight shot to Alaska by boat and our landscapes are very similar, so it’s easy to think this. I can’t thank you enough for your thoughtful comments, @rambler!!

Hi @phil4379! Thanks for visiting and commenting today, we really appreciate it! I found the interior woodwork, while is was obviously quite dark in there, was something to behold. All those panels were handmade back in a time before power tools, so you can well imagine how much effort went into the construction of the church. We were very honored to have a chance to visit and photograph it. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!!
Hi @tobiepsg! I feel the exact same way Tobie! I dunno what it is, but I am totally compelled to shoot these old heritage sites. I feel it’s important to document them in their current state as so many of them seem to be disappearing before our eyes. Hi @tobiepsg!! Indeed, snorkeling is an often-enjoyed activity in these parts we are told, however in the winter the waters can be quite chilly. We have some great underwater lifeforms to see and explore, some of them are totally unique to the area. I am far from an expert in this area, but we have heard a lot about it from other folks.
