These are a favourite of mine. They keep so well and the colours last. Nice image.

Carol loves using them as part of her dried wreaths she gives as gifts for that very reason.

Couldn’t find any pics of her wreaths. She made two kinds of dried wreaths. Dried flower and dried herb. Flower wreaths had straw flowers, statice, dried roses, pearly everlastings and small pink flowers that dried well that we would find on the side of the road. We never found out what they were. Also some type of herb to add some green.
Her herb wreaths had oregano, thyme, sage, and one or two others I can’t remember. Sometimes would add one or two garlic bulbs. These wreaths were for hanging in your kitchen and using as needed.
No wreath pics but found a few old farm pics that were fun to see again. Taken with a Canon Power shot long before I bought my first DSLR.
I think this was our 2nd year of running the farm stand. Cider was brand new. Carol was newer too. 🙂

My Mom used to use the straw flowers and other everlastings to place in the front pocket of bread dough dolls. She sold/gave them away as ornaments to be hung on the wall.

🙂 My mon made bread dough ornaments to sell at Christmas. We had a pretty goof run at the farm store for 12 years. Didn’t hurt to have two wineries/tasting rooms less than a mile away from us. Sure helped with the amount of traffic driving by. 🙂

Thanks Dave, strange you said that about processing red, because I noticed an odd thing …. in LR, in the Develop side the red looked good, when I went back to Library to export it, the red changed slightly. This has happened to me before, but I don’t know why. Any ideas?

Slow worms are actually legless lizards, and are harmless, I used to see lots of them when I was a kid. However, years ago, I was with someone who’s phobic about snakes, and she went crazy when she saw one in the yard!

The Lensbaby gives a wonderful, dream like quality to your image. Beautiful color as well. This year my wife and I became big fans of butterflies and Monarchs in particular. The butterfly garden we put in included plenty of Milkweed. No Monarchs yet but we’ve got our fingers crossed for next year. 🙂
