Sorry I have been busy. I get the green thingy and if it was for me I would remove it but that’s a whatever ?? As far as the background I see it now and thanks for pointing that out. Appreciate your comments
ThanksIt is a bit different than the regular hey lets light paint something. I do however like to make the photograph (one shot) also. This is a bit different way to do things and I have been mentored (https://acjohnsonphoto.com/about/ on this and oh still have a long long way to go. It is unusual way to do things but many people other then Alec do it. I am now in the process of doing a local fire truck. I live in a small community of 300 people so access to the fire hall and trucks is real easy. Can’t wait to do it
Ok so I did do a nice shot with a 30 second exp. But the stacking allows me to put more or less light where I want to. The shop it was done in was had lots of clutter and the floor was not pleasing. Stacking the shots gave me the opportunity to light where I wanted and not light that was not needed. I kept the ISO down and the shots short limiting noise. Most people think of light painting as twirling around lights. This was done with one flashlight lighting the tires, tank handle bars (the green thingy lol is part of this guys bike, to remove it would be like leaving the burger off a hamburger). These guys take a lot of pride in the thingys you might say. I cleaned up the black a bit but haven’t posted it. Does this answer the ?? I don’t normally do a composite image since it would no longer be a photograph. That is why a posted it that way.
@eric and Rob
Yes I should stop by more often but seems life gets in the way. All is good keep posting the LS quotes I love to share them.
I like the edit but in the case of Lake Superior the water in your picture is to blue. The water on lake superior is more of a greenish color which makes in unique. To me anyway maybe your edit in B&W???
I see that thanks Robert. Sometimes its just those little edits one misses.
I can see your point I do have some faster shutter speeds of 1/60 but the lost the clouds. I do have a few more of this shot and will try the 1:2 for sure
I had it on eye tracking and electronic shutter. I could be my unsteady hand I usually shot with a tripod. I have about 30 shots of this bird. Maybe go through them and see if one is a bit better.
Thanks for the inputThank You I was worried I might have cropped it to much
Thank You
blur all in camera.
Thanks Robert they are fast and can seem like the put on the after burner you might say. Thanks for the comments
The darker is what I did the first time around but seems like I lost the eyes in it. Thanks for the input
A great image. Well done

It is so nice to have someone like all of you here on LS to help and give advice. I have told so many about the site and how informative it is. I judge 4-H clubs for the state fair. Kids love it that someone takes the time to teach and tell them what they need to do to improve.

thanksThank you. Do you think I should have snapped the shutter before the sun came up. I liked the feeling of the sun on the snow warming it up. Or maybe let the sun come up more it may have filtered through the clouds? I wonder…
your the man… Thanks buc
