Allows Edits? YesHaven’t posted for quite a while, just been doing other ‘stuff’ and hardly touched the camera gear. Did manage to get back to Kangaroo Island in early March for a break. This is Emu Bay and I just love the simplicity of it.

Allows Edits? YesThanks Rob. Great to be back. Lots of changes at work up-ended my routine for a while but I’m looking forward to getting back into LS. Summer has ended but we’re still getting bright, warm sunny 30 degreee Celcius days into Autumn. One of our agapanthus plants has sprung a new flower after all the others have long since died off. Weird.

Allows Edits? YesHi Dahlia, thanks for that. You’re right about the soothing effect of images, especially when you have a memory of the place from being there. I can vividly remember flopping around like a beached whale just in the shallows in the foreground 🙂

Allows Edits? YesG’day mate, great to be back. I’d been popping in for a look now and then but didn’t linger long because I had nothing new to offer image-wise. Don’t think I’ll bother trying to make comment on all I’ve missed – it’d take too long so I’ll just pick it up from here I think. Looking forward to seeing everyone’s amazing images once again.

Allows Edits? YesThanks Diane. I will confess now that the Pelicans are all the same bird. I shot it taking off in burst mode in another location and then pasted the images into this shot. At first I loved the simple clarity of just the beach by itself but then decided it needed something…a focal point. Hence the birds.
The original simple image was inspired by that $4m world’s most expensive photo by Andreas Gursky which is similarly plain with horizontal lines. (I’d be happy with $400 🙂 )
