        f/8, 1.6 sec, ISO200, FL100

Would you rather see this in the “wild,” with a background like Marty’s “Dark and Moody Cherry Blossoms?” (Nice shot Marty — I like the edits, as well.)

Thanks, Marty! (By the way, I noticed in another post you use the Canon  90D. I do as well, but I haven’t seen any problem with greens and yellows.)

Greg, it looks like your 90D is doing a great job. I’ve been very happy with the colors overall on mine, maybe I needed to tweak it a little more on my green & yellow daffodil.

And I agree with Jasenka’s comments. Your shot of cherry blossoms is wonderful as is. The dark background makes the colors & details really pop.

Hi Greg, I think this shot is quite effective as it is. It makes us focus on the colors and shapes.

Thanks, Jasenka. Perhaps comparing the two types of images is not as useful as I thought.

Anyway, I appreciate what you are saying that having a black background makes us focus on the colors and shapes.

Hi Greg, love the light, details and how you have placed the blossoms in the frame. I cannot see anything that can be changed in this photo 🙂

Beautiful composition, Greg.   See what you think of this minor edit:  I thinned the branch that moves out to the right, holding the buds.  I found my eye was drawn to that darkened space that isn’t quite black.

Thanks, Anne. I noticed that too – the branch seemed very large for the buds it was supporting.  I think it was more than one branch, if memory serves. I appreciate the edit. It looks great!

Tough one for the ST. If I were to be extremely picky, maybe the dynamic range beween the light petals and dark petals could be pulled in?

I am really stretching though lol
