Allows Edits? YesJust curious what you guys think of the whole micro stock photography thing?
Some photographers hate it and say it’s undermining the whole photography industry.
Others make a decent living from it.
Curious where the Stalkers stand…

I know a few people who are into it seriously and not. None of them earn a living from it but it suppliments the income with some. It does seem to take some work though to get to the point of making it worth while. One bloke spends about 15 hours a week on shooting and submitting stock and he worked out its about $3/hour. He does expect that will increase with time. Not my cup of tea.
Its a way of selling the product. There’ll always be a place for all sorts of photographers. Some work for a salary, some teach(!), some work for themself, some sell prints off the wall, some use stock, etc. Its a buyers market. Find what you’re good at, find a way of selling it and go for it.
The ‘whole photography industry’ now includes stock photo sales. -

Allows Edits? YesHow level headed of you Tom. If you’re not careful, you’ll find us agreeing again.

Allows Edits? YesThis is one of those things I keep thinking I need to look into, but I also hear that the rewards are very few. I know that some folks are really great at this, I just don’t think this would be a great avenue for my personal style of photography.
