Dark and moody. When everyone strives to get pin sharp images this one shows how much grain is under used. I like the grain on this one. Good one, Wendy!

He is a poser Pat 🙂 , he had me done that day .. that peak in the background is home for us and it is much further than i looks , still a good walk can never be grumbled at 🙂

Beautiful capture, Patrick. I love the subtle back ground and leading lines of the road and bridge heading off into the distance. It makes me wonder where it leads in the mist.

Curious what your title for this would be? Bad weather can make for great photos! I can’t tell from your shot how far it is to go home being soaked. Was it worth it? In any case, bravo for your effort to get this great shot that definitely tells a story. “Take the Long Way Home” (Supertramp) comes to mind, cue the music… Thanks for your added details and stortytelling! : )

I had about another 1 mile to reach the house all downhill thankfully , I was out shooting some hillwalkers appearing and disappearing into the mist , not far behind me is an old stone barn converted into a cafe , the coffee was nice and hot 🙂
