  So, last in our Landscape set … Blue Hour!
  ” The blue hour occurs twice each day. It refers to a period of time just before sunrise when the sky turns from a deep twilight to dark blue and then to light blue just before the Sun peeks above the horizon. It also describes a time just after sunset when the sky changes from light blue to dark blue into a deep twilight as the night sets in.”
  Consider composition, long exposures, timing, tripod, filters, and editing.

  This was taken from the Marriott Vacation Club Pulse at Custom House, Boston. You have to pay to get access to the walkway at the top of the building but it is worth it. It gives you a 360-degree view of Boston.

  I shoot a lot of carnivals/midways. This was at the Cal-Expo, the California State Fair in Sacramento. Some could argue that this is not a landscape but the Ferris wheel is quite a distance from where I was shooting this. The lens was set to 33mm on a 16-300mm Tamron attached to a Canon 70D. The Canon is a crop sensor camera so this would be about a 50mm equivalent.

      Elin, thank you. Although I shoot from late afternoon to the blue hour, the blue hour really brings out subjects such as this Ferris wheel. I also find that people don’t seem to be bothered by my photographing a sceen like this. It may help that I have permission from the fair operator and the carnival company knows that I’m there.

      Thank you Rob. Shooting midways can be a lot of work but fun. I usually take a 18″ (45.72cm) folding stool with me. I use it to stand on. It gives me a better perspective. I suspect that I used it in this photograph.

        That’s frustrating. No suggestions from Samsung. Maybe you can use another software to take to take photographs. I use the Adobe Lightroom camera. Since I subscribe I can either edit in my camera or sync it with my desktop.
